My first character is the mage from the starters campaign, who has some decisions already made for. That was good while beginning to play, but now after some hours of gameplay and reaching level 4 I think it would have been nice to have picked a different arcane tradition (and my DM is fine with that). But I can't figure out if (and how) I can change it, or if this is only possible while reaching level 2 and the only way is to revert the levels. Thanks for any hints on how this might work.
Edit your character and go to the Class section. Click the Arcane Tradition bit and it will expand down. Just choose a new one from the dropdown and DDB will automatically swap out all the features for you.
On DDB literally nothing is set in stone. You can change anything at any time.
