I'm creating a homebrew, half caster monk and no matter what I do, I cannot get DnD Beyond to recognize that they get 3 starting cantrips at level three and one of them has to be lightning lure. I made a special class feature for lightning lure, added the spell to it and said it is automatically learned at level 3, and still makes me choose only two cantrips. Please help!
To clarify, you are still required to choose 2 cantrips in addition to lightning lure? Or is it not adding lightning lure?
If it is the second option, how did you add the spell? Did you check "is known" and "always prepared"?
Also, is the half caster monk thing actually working? In my earlier experiments with homebrew, I couldn't get a class that gets its subclass at level 3 to be anything other than a 3rd caster.
Two cantrips + lightning lure, like the arcane trickster has two + mage hand.
I created a class feature for lightning lue and had it checked off as is “always prepared,” and under “counts as known spell” I have it read as no so it shouldn’t count against the two I already know.
It seems to have all other features working, just not the cantrips. I even had a home brew arcane trickster page up and tried making it the same as that end everything works except the 3rd cantrip. She just hit level four and got the notification to add another level spell.
A half caster will have 3 level 1 slots at level 3, and 4 level 1 and 2 level 2 slots at level 5. (At level 4 a half caster and third caster are the same).

Try turning "counts as known" to yes.

Thanks, will try.
