I tested this on a 13th level Life Domain cleric with 20 wisdom.
Cure Wounds on the character sheet says "Regain 1d8 Hit Points". If I change the cast level, it doesn't say anything different.
The spell description says it restores 1d8 + [spellcasting modifier]. I would expect that the spell effect should be "Regain 1d8+5 hit points" for this character. Additionally, the description should be something like "restores 1d8 +5 (your spellcasting modifier) hit points".
The Disciple of Life feature increases healing by 2 + the spell's level. The spell effects should thus be "Regain 1d8 + 8 hit points", and perhaps should include an indication that Disciple of Life is applying.
Increasing the cast level should increase the amount restored to 1d8 per spell level, and the Disciple of Life increase should also go up by one point per level.
This seems to be true for all spells, not just Cure Wounds.
