I've got a fighter who at level 4 took a feat instead of the ability score increase. I also get the same option of what choice I want again at level 6 and I took another feat. In the char. builder, I'm unable to select a second feat and when I look at my feats in the viewable sheet, it says I don't meet the prereq. for deep gnome? I'm not understanding why this is here and am assuming this is a bug.
As DxJxC suggests, there are only two feats that are available from Wizards of the Coast for free. The remaining feats are a part of the Player's Handbook, and Xanathar's Guide to Everything. If you wish to use these feats you would need to do one of the following:
1 ) Purchase the book that contains the feat(s) you are looking for from the D&D Beyond Marketplace.
2 ) Individually purchase the feat(s) you are looking for using the Additional Purchase Options provided by that book on the D&D Beyond Marketplace, or purchase the Feat Bundle for that book for all of the feats.
3 ) Have those books shared to you through Content Sharing. This would mean someone in your campaign has a Master Tier subscription, and either they or someone else owns the feats you are wanting to use. When sharing is turned on in the campaign you are all in, all purchased content would be shared between you.
You may also use the built-in homebrew tools on D&D Beyond to manually enter in the feats for yourself, using a physical copy that you already own as a reference.
I figured as much. Since I already own the phb, I’m not gonna but it but I did find it useful that I could create a feat and basically add it that way. Thanks for the responses.

I'm guessing you haven't purchased any books on DDB and you are only seeing the 2 free feats.

I hope that helps!
