Equipping and attuning to the Brooch of Shielding misrepresents the effects of the item on your character sheet. In the "Defenses" box under "Resistances and Immunities," it (correctly) lists resistance to force damage as being one of the effects. It ALSO, however, says that the Brooch makes you IMMUNE to force damage, which is incorrect.
Per the item description:
While wearing this brooch, you have resistance to force damage, and you have immunity to damage from the magic missile spell.
TLDR: If equipped, this item will make your character sheet display that the PC is immune to force damage tout court, instead of force damage from the magic missile spell.
Yeah it is doing that. It should have an asterisk and say "against magic missile," but I don't think defences sidebar can display situational defences (like how saves can).
