So I was toying with the idea of streaming my campaign to Twitch and I wanted to use the Twitch Extension that you guys offer, however, whenever I try to connect my twitch account to D&D Beyond, after clicking the Activate button, the extension shows up in my Twitch Extensions, but it doesn't show up in D&D Beyond and whenever I try to select one of the campaigns I'm in it says that I'm not in any campaigns. Am I doing something wrong?
It sounds like this is an issue with getting your Twitch account merged with your D&D Beyond account. You need to go to https://www.dndbeyond.com/account and from there get your Twitch account connected. See if that fixes the issue, and good luck!
That's what I've been trying to do, but it won't connect. It pulls up the "Activate" screen but It doesn't let it actually connect to my account.
Hello! Can you clarify what you mean by "Activate" screen? Using the link OboeCrazy provided above, linking your Twitch account should bring you to an authorization page, is that what is giving you an issue?
Yes, That's my bad, I meant authorize. the issue is that I'll click the authorize button and it add the extension to my twitch account, however, it won't recognize that I have any campaigns available when I'm in 4 campaigns. It also does not say that my account has been linked in DndBeyond. Here is a link to some pictures that I've taken on Twitch and Dndbeyond, maybe that might help. https://imgur.com/a/9jPFDSM
Thank you! So when you click the "Link A Twitch Account" selection in the final image which opens the authorization page, and you select Authorize, can you describe what happens?
Do you have any browser extensions currently running? If you do, perhaps try using the "Link a Twitch Account" option in a private browsing window or after disabling browser extensions.
The only thing that happens when i select the Authorize button, is that it sends me back to the last picture with nothing changed, it will still stay "Link a Twitch Account". So I believe the issue is that twitch is adding the extension over, but it isn't connecting to my D&DBeyond account.
Would you try logging into D&D Beyond in an incognito browser and try to link from the account page? As Mellie said this might be an extension or add on that's interrupting the process. Let us know if that changes anything!
Hey, I did some digging, and it looks like we dont show an error if you try to merge a twitch account that is already linked to a DDB account. I have a feeling your twitch account is already linked to another DDB account (just a theory)
in another tab, could you try singing into ddb via twitch and see if that was already linked to another account?
EDIT: just did some verifying, and that is the issue, looks like that twitch account is tied to another DDB account.
If that other account is unused/has no purchases, let me know and I can unlink it, so you can link your twitch account to your new account. Note you will lose access to the old account.
Sorry it took so long to respond, So from my knowledge, this is the only Dnd Beyond account I've ever connected to this twitch account (since this is the only account I have). I just deleted and disconnected my Dndbeyond stuff off of my twitch account. Is there anything I could do to help fix the problem?
Hi, sorry to ping a somewhat older thread, but I was wondering what the solution was for this. I'm experiencing the same issue.
Everything appears to be set up, but when I go to configure the extension in Twitch it says I'm not in any campaigns (I am and actively run multiple campaigns).
I tried removing the integration both from the Twitch and dndbeyond site, then added the plugin again, but it still does not detect any of my campaigns. I've definitely never linked my dndbeyond account with a different twitch account, nor have I liked my twitch account to a different dndbeyond account. I suspect the problem has something to do with the fact that I've changed my username (but not created an entirely new account) on both Twitch and dndbeyond in the past.
I seem to have two D&D Beyond accounts, and I seem to be losing track of when I'm signed into one or the other. When I click on the sign-in using Gmail. I get this account. When I choose to sign in using Twitch, I get the account that I posted the message above with. Twitch itself, is connected to the same Gmail account that this D&D Beyond account is associated with. I have no idea how that other account was created.
This account is the one I'm going to call my real account.
I am having this exact same problem. I have logged out and then logged back in, verified the accounts used, disconnected the link on the twitch side, and it always goes back to the same thing- dndbeyond will not connect or show a connection to twitch and twitch is successfully showing it is linked.
Okay, so I found out the problem, but I need help with a fix. It seems I must've logged into DnDBeyond using my Twitch credentials once, and it created a DnDBeynd account. I'm never going to use that account, would it be possible to blast the account? I've disconnected from Twitch in anticipation of joining in the future with my correct account (this one).
What I had to do to resolve it was to open a support ticket. They got to it pretty quickly and we had it resolved immediately after they got back to me
Hi. i'm having the same issue. I can't get twitch to link. When i'm on the configure page on twitch for the overlay, it says i'm not signed in to dndbeyond.
I have same variation of this exact issue. I THINK this might have happened, even though I am not sure how it could have.
All of the problems I am having are the exact same as detailed before. After confirming the authorization for Twitch, I just get back to my account page with Twitch resulting not linked.

Alright, I just tried that out, and it doesn't appear to have done anything different, I'm sorry.
