I was surprised to see an equipped Dancing Weapon apply an extra +2 to damage from Dueling Weapon Style on the character. When I think is happening is the math is showing only the weapon as held in hand and does not show up in the bonus action section without the +2 to damage. I cannot figure out how to show a dancing weapon as a bonus action, which I think would resolve this issue. Any ideas out there?
There is no way at this time to have actions/bonus actions or similar appear on magic items, as the action system was introduced into D&D Beyond after the magic item system. Additionally, there is not currently a way to mark temporary effects, such as activating a Dancing Sword to have it hover, as opposed to using it yourself.

Hello!
Update: my workaround was to click on the weapon in my actions screen and add a custom -2 damage bonus to offset the fighting style damage bonus.
