Item: A simple or martial weapon with the ammunition property
As examples, the Revolver does have the ammunition property, but the [Tooltip Not Found] doesn't.
It's possible that the guns from the Critical Role sourced Gunslinger should be revised to include the ammunition weapon property, however as the Gunslinger is not official content, the official rules for the Artificer make no provision for these weapons and the Gunslinger weapons do not reference the Artificer infusions.
Old thread, but thought I'd chime in just in case anyone else is still trying to figure this out.
I've started playing in a Victorian era, steampunk-y campaign as a Battle Smith. The DM is using the more advanced Exandria firearms rules.
In order to make DDB work for my character who will be using a modified pistol, I created a magic item based on the Exandria Pistol. It's not perfect (still has the reload and ammunition traits), but the die rolls and modifiers work which was the main thing I wanted.
It's published, so feel free to use this as a template (or just use it): Felix's Pistol
If you do use it, use the more recent version as I updated the attunement and added an image.

I've created a Level 3 Fighter/Gunslinger and a Level 3 Artificer. I selected Repeating Shot but I can't apply it to the Exandria specific Pistol.
That's because the CR firearms don't meet the requirements to have repeating shot: the ammunition property.
Honestly, I hope DDB allows an exception for this.
The rules for the Repeating Shot infusion state:

Hi Stormknight given the new WIldemount book came out I was wondering if this could be relooked into.
The exandrian fire arms were not printed in EGtW and they have not been changed to have the Amunition property. What is to look into?
