Many question and issues still exist with homebrewing, but I will stick with just two for now//
One issue that has been around from the start is the subrace issue, that prevents one from creating a racial group so a homebrew race and all it's subraces can be placed together. Should we just give up hope that this will ever be fixed.
Also for homebrewing subclasses, I still get the error that a subclass is to similar to Circle of the Spore druid on everything I make. It can be a damn paladin and it will still come up, and it's a pain in the ass to work around it.
What's the time table on fixing all the issues that exist in the homebrewing section? Some have been around since DnD Beyond's creation of the homebrew section, and it REALLY needs an update.
Issue 1 is pretty minor, but they have said it is planned. It will probably come after the homebrew revamp.
Finished subclasses shouldn't have issue 2. It is a bug that it gets displayed instead of a different error, but it doesn't display when there is nothing wrong with the homebrew. Usually it displays when the homebrew has a blank description.
Finally, DDB doesn't give timetables unless something is basically done.
The first is not a bug, but it is a planned feature for the future.
The other you note is something that can come up if your homebrew subclass is incomplete, or has an incomplete description. Once you have finished creating your homebrew, ensure that you save it from the main edit page of the homebrew. This will have the system re-check your homebrew for validity. We hope to improve our homebrew error messaging in the future!
