And if I go to Volo's guide to monsters sources and click on Aasimar, it tells me to buy volo's but yesterday I had access to this section of the book!
It's like I did not buy the race but when I check all the things that I can buy in Volo's, the button for Aasimar is "View details" and not "Add to chart"

I have the exact same issue, and I bought the race last year. I've made a couple of Protecter Aasimar character's in the past, but as of yesterday evening, the race no longer shows for me in the character creator. Seems it happened since I got access to the v 3.0.0_alpha.53 of the character sheet.
Hey there - can you try logging out of D&D Beyond, then logging back in to see if that resolves your issue?

Just noticed when I look at the marketplace; The Aasimar subraces are now separated from the main race as individual purchases for Volo's Guide to Monsters. I show the Aasimar race as purchased, but not the subraces.
This is maddening. I can assure you this was not the case for me until yesterday (4/14/20), and that I had access to all three subraces until that point. It's also pointless as the base race ( which IS purchased ) doesn't even show up in character creation.

Yesterday, I have bought the Aasimar race from Volo's guide to monsters, but only the race.

It seems that the issue is solved now
I was trying to play aasimar (2024) and it is flat out not there all of the other ones are there but just not aasimar
