On a recent Warlock (Pact of the Tome) level up (to level 7), I selected the Eldritch Invocation "Aspect of the Moon", which appears in the D&D Beyond Warlock Class Details page.
However, the Invocation is not available to select in the Character Builder.
Aspect of the Moon is from Xanathar's Guide to Everything. If you're in a campaign with someone who owns that book and content sharing is enabled, you'll be able to view the evocation on the class page.
However, you'll only have access to the evocation in the character builder if you're making a character within the campaign the content is being shared from. Outside the campaign, you'll need to purchase either Xanathar's Guide to Everything, or the individual evocations
Hi Davedamon, thank you! I knew that, of course, but just realized that my practice of cloning my current char sheet (to preserve the history of the character) and do the level-up with the newly cloned character sheet does not inherit the campaign membership -- so our DM's sharing of content (in this case, Xanathar's) was the issue. In future, I'll be careful to add the newly-cloned char sheet into the relevant campaign so all the sources are applied.
I still can't find it and I own XGtE. I am trying to build a new Warlock from level 1 to level 3 and cannot find this Invocation anywhere even when I have already selected the Pact of the Tome Pact Boon. Please explain a step by step way to get this. Or is it a higher level requirement?

Make sure "Expanded Rules" is turned on in the Home tab of the character builder, as Xanathar's Guide to Everything is in that category.
Also note that the 2024 Warlock class doesn't include that option, so you'll need to use the 2014 version of the Warlock class to get it.

I have Expanded Rules checked, as well as 2014 Core Rules, and the Aspect of the Moon isn't coming up as an option for me

Are you using the 2014 version of the Warlock class or the 2024 version? As I said, it’s only available for the 2014 version. I don’t just mean checking the “2014 Core Rules” box, I mean actually selecting the other version of the class on the Class tab.

Thanks, I was still using the 2024 lock vs the 2014 lock.
