According the Player's Handbook, a folk hero is supposed to have a proficiency in one artisan's tool of choice, plus a vehicle (land). When doing a character build, the vehicle (land) proficiency shows up, but there's no option to pick an artisan's tool, such as alchemist's tools
Can you post a link to your character? When I go through the character builder, it provides me the option of choosing which Artisan's Tool my character would be proficient in:
