I've first tried disabling *all* ad-blocking and related functionality. This is Firefox 94.0.1 on Windows with an Nvidia GPU. My browser settings are fairly vanilla, but if someone who works on this website is able to investigate it you might consider playing with the canvas-related "resist fingerprinting" settings to try to reproduce the problem.
Thanks for that cause/fix - same for me but only in ONE of my campaigns (All characters affected when I open them). My other campaign is normal.
FYI - running vanilla FireFox with no VPN or extensions.
[Edit] so AVG didn't update FF to latest as it was active when the scan ran. Updated FF and all fixed again. Must have been an update from FF and DDB were faster than I was at staying up to date :)
I got the same problem in Firefox, disabling extensions or VPN doesn't help. Can't see how the VPN would affect it anyway. Especially because it was working fine just last week with the same setup.
edit: If I open my character sheet in a private browser window (AdBlock disabled, VPN on) in read only mode it works fine, but as soon as I sign in, all I can see is a black screen and the red dice rolling button in the bottom left corner.
On Edge with no extensions but activated VPN it works normally.
edit2:Temporary Solution It seems it has something to do with certain Nvidia Drivers and the Firefox hardware acceleration. I had the same issue in Google Maps and after searching a bit, it seems it happened a couple of times in the past with specific Nvidia drivers. For now, I can prevent it by deactivating hardware acceleration in Firefox settings and restarting the browser.
Just started experiencing this issue now! Have recently upgraded PCs. Previous specs were i7 using only the integrated graphics, whereas now I'm using Ryzen 7 with Nvidia RTX 3060. On previous hardware loading up sheets was instantaneous, and now I either take 2 minutes to load up the sheet, or if I have firefox open for several hours, I get the black screen issue. As above users have mentioned, all elements are responsive, dice roll icon is visible, as are roll results. No addons or VPN functioning during use.
Microsoft edge everything functions normally. Only fix I've found is closing and reopening firefox (Version 105.0.1).
I should not have to use a separate browser just to use this site. Hope a true fix or update address this...one day lol
EDIT:Turn off recommended performance settings in firefox settings, I left the "Use hardware acceleration when available" checked still. Everything works responsively and no slow loading or anything suss.

Yep!
As mentioned here in the "EDIT"-Part: Deactivation of the recommended performance also worked for me (deactivate the feature + restart firefox).

Opened and restarted Firefox.

The fix in the above edit worked for me as well, thank you!
This worked for me too. Just had to restart Firefox to make it take effect. Thanks so much!

This solution still works in 2025. :)
