With the release of the digital content from ToA, I noticed that the DND Beyond content is apparently not yet complete.
The surrogates sent out by WotC contain a Rogue who is a Grung, leading one to assume this is at least one new playable race as of ToA.
The digital content seems to be limited to the new backgrounds, magic items, and creatures (and although the Grung is on the creature list, it is not available for playable race information). Is there a reason this content is not available?
That's not from the book proper. It is from a free PDF WotC released and it isn't a full race write-up. It is a pregen character that just happens to be Grung. Wizards is also putting out a bundle on the DM's Guild soon with Tortle race stats as well, but it will not be in the Tomb of Annihilation book proper.

There are no playable races in ToA.
