The difference is CR1 vs CR6. As linked in the adventure it's would instantly TPK a party at the appropriate level for the adventure.

The same problem exists in Part 2: Phandalin, in area 12. Glasstaff's Quarters of the Redbrand Hideout:

I'd bet that early versions of these involved an automated parser that added links to anything in bold.
