I apologize if this is the wrong section to post this but I recently bought the D&D Essential Kit physically. Inside it had two coupons. One for the digital version of Icespire Peak (that coupon worked fine). The second was for 50% off of the digital version of the Players Handbook. I've followed the instructions (add to cart, enter key at check out) and nothing seems to happen. Ive tried using the suggested link (beyond.com/marketplace/source/2) but it just links me back to the handbook page. And tried the coupon in the coupon section in every form I can imagine would work (without the dashes, with the dashes, in the correct upper and lower case form, all lower case, all upper case). I keep getting errors on the coupon.
Am I doing something wrong or is the code just not working?
The only other suggestion I would offer is try replacing zeroes and the letter O with each other, and the number one and the letter L. Those can sometimes cause issues as they look alike in the printing.
Thank you. I sent in a ticket to customer service on Tuesday, waiting to hear back from them. Could you clarify the method I'm suppose to put the code in? Is it via the key redemption or the coupon at check out?
The 50% off code for the PHB from the Essentials Kit is redeemed at checkout as a coupon code. So it sounds like you have tried in the right place! If replacing the letters and numbers don't work, than CS will be able to help you get that fixed.
I would be very willing to purchase the Essentials and PHB if it came with a 50% off coupon. How can I get that?

The physical box set of the Dungeons & Dragons Essentials Kit includes a coupon to unlock the adventure in digital format on D&D Beyond, as well as a coupon for 50% off the PHB to redeem here on this site! You can usually find the Essentials Kit at your friendly local game store, or from an online retailer.

As Lauren said, friendly local game store is usually the best place to buy from, but our local Wal-Mart has them for $9 as well.
Honestly, this is why I stopped caring the Essentials Toolkit as a LGS owner. Without having anyway to get a similar (or better) deal when buying the physical book, all the toolkit does is drive people online, after which point there is great incentive to buy the rest of the books in DND Beyond. If it were up to me, every physical book would come with a code to get the equivalent book online. They could do 75% off and still make more money than they do on the physical books because of distributors and manufacturing/shipping costs.
It is extremely frustrating, because it is unfair to the players and absolutely screws us out of a bunch of otherwise life time customers.

Otherwise I recommend contacting Customer Service with this issue, that way you can pass along the coupon in a secure manner: https://dndbeyond.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=602788
