ERRATA & UPDATES
The statistics and features of some existing content has been updated within this new adventure:
The Goliath Race (see below) has had the Mountain Born trait updated to now include resistance to cold damage.
The Chwinga has had it's "elemental nature" section removed from the description and a new "Unusual Nature" feature added to the stat block.
The Crag Cat has gained a climb speed and is now a Monstrosity instead of a Beast.
The Duergar Mind Master has had it's AC changed from "14 (leather armor) to "14 (leather armor), 19 while reduced"
With the new Brain in a Jar monster added, we have renamed the variant monster included in Lost Laboratory of Kwalish and Infernal Machine Rebuild, to Brain in a Jar (noncore).
This adventure introduces a new character generation mechanic known as "Secrets"
It is suggested that any secrets for your characters are added to the character sheet via the NOTES section, which cannot be seen by other players in a campaign.
CHARACTER OPTIONS: SUPERNATURAL GIFTS, CHARMS & BLESSINGS
There are several places in this adventure where characters can gain either Charms or Blessings.
Unfortunately, we don't have the general features system finished up and live yet, so these aren't currently something you can mechanically add to a character. Please be assured that this is something that is being added.
CHARACTER OPTIONS: MAGIC ITEMS
There are a number of new magic items included in this adventure. One of these is a book The Codicil of White which displays the rarity of "unknown rarity" as this represents a magical item (it grants magical properties to the bearer) that doesn't have an official rarity.
Map 2.1 is a map of Ten Towns and not a map of the surrounding area (for chapter 2). I'm also wondering if the poster maps aren't correct as well as they only have Ten Towns on it. Is the poster map supposed to have all locations on it?

The digital poster map of Icewind Dale should be the same as the one in the physical book.
Some of my preorder bonuses aren't functioning correctly or have not been applied. Mainly the themes. Some things like borders and backdrops revert to a previous selection if the page is refreshed.
Hi there: I'm having a little issue with the poster map. The description of it at the start of the book (welcome to the far north) reads as follows:
Poster Map
The double-sided poster map is meant to be shared with the players. One side of the poster map shows Icewind Dale, including Ten-Towns and other sites and features in the region that are common knowledge. The reverse side has player-friendly maps of the ten settlements that comprise Ten-Towns, with prominent locations called out in each town for the players’ benefit.
However, when I look at the poster map in DnD Beyond, the reverse side has "Icewind Dale, including Ten-Towns and other sites and features in the region that are common knowledge" and the front side is an identical map with all of that information removed. There are no "player friendly maps of the ten settlements"
Is this a mistake? Where do I find player friendly town maps?
---
Reading more, it seems that player friendly maps of each settlement are individually split into each town's description, so they do exist for use. I'm guessing the poster map is supposed to have a large poster with all ten maps in one place? I can cope without it though.

Hey there, thanks for reaching out to us.
There has been an issue with the poster map and I am currently working on resolving it. We should have the "flip side" up a bit later today.
In the meantime, all of the info on each town can be found in chapter 1, on the page for that town.
update: the poster map reverse (Ten Towns) can now be found on the table of contents:
Not sure but is the hypnos magen not meant to have the unusual nature ability? The other two have it, so not sure if the feature is missing or intentional.
HYPNOS MAGEN: Unusual Nature. The magen doesn’t require air, food, drink, or sleep.

Some of my preorder bonuses aren't functioning correctly or have not been applied. Mainly the themes. Some things like borders and backdrops revert to a previous selection if the page is refreshed.
Same here. I seem to have all the bonuses except the new Themes, and i've found that sometimes after refreshing the page the background will go back to a previous selection.

Sorry about the inconvenience. A few weeks ago we identified a bug related to switching these cosmetics related to caching. The changes are persisted, but on refresh the cache holds onto the old selection for a few minutes before taking effect. We do have a ticket to address this. In the meantime, if you're experiencing this, toggling on and off inspiration or changing anything on the sheet really should break the cache immediately, otherwise waiting a few minutes will do the trick.
Pre-orders frames, backdrops, etc are not available to us (the individuals that the resource is being share with) at this time. When will we be able to play with our new vanity?
Every town in Chapter 1 has an overland travel section that shows how long it takes to travel to neighboring towns. Except the Overland Travel from Good Mead table shows "4½ miles" to Easthaven. This is the only one listed in miles instead of hours. https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/idrotf/good-mead#OverlandTravelfromGoodMead

update: I've updated the map image in chapter 2 (places of interest) - it has all of the adventure locations on it.

Is the Living Demiplane supposed to be CR 0? Feels a bit over the top if that is the case.
Ch1: Welcome to the Far North > Wilderness Survival > Fishing for Knucklehead Trout (https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/idrotf/welcome-to-the-far-north#FishingforKnuckleheadTrout) lists Fishing Tackle cost as "4 gp (per the Player’s Handbook)". Its cost in PHB is 1 gp (weight 4 lbs.).
Hi there, I can confirm that CR 0 (zero) is correct, as per the source.

Hi there, thanks for contacting us!
You're correct, the Player's Handbook does state 1 gp. I can confirm that the section of the adventure you're reading is exactly as published however.

Same problem here, as those above.
I have the dice unlocked, the 13 backdrops, the 11 frames, but none of the 5 character sheet themes show up.
Thanks for the heads up folks (regarding the issues with the character sheet themes) - this has been passed along to the devs.To resolve this, follow the steps outlined by squallss below.

On the Welcome to the Far North page, there is a sidebar Horror in the Far North: https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/idrotf/welcome-to-the-far-north#sidebarHorrorintheFarNorth
This contains the sentence: "Your players might have phobias and triggers you might not unaware of."
I think it should be either "...you might not be aware of." or "...you might be unaware of."
The Overland Travel from Easthaven table shows "4½ hours" to Good Mead. https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/idrotf/easthaven#OverlandTravelfromEasthaven
So I assume Good Mead's table mistakenly uses the word "miles" instead of "hours".
