Can't add war pick to my character

I can see the war pick when I go to the items tab, but if I'm in my character and try to find the war pick it just doesn't show up.

Is your character proficient in warpick? If not, the warpick will show up only if you un-toggle the Proficient box, in the Add Items section of the Inventory.
