On my Pixel Gen1 I turned off wifi and mobile data and started the app fresh (after clearing cache and local data). I'm stuck on the start up spinning wheel for at least 5-10 minutes. I was trying to test offline access.

After that I

force closed the app,

turned wifi on

logged in, loaded up

signed into twitch (authorize)

saw list of available compendium

force closed app

turned wifi off (all data off)

opened the app

got stuck on the spinny wheel again
