It definitely seems as if any data calls prior to the compendium page fully loading result in the app "crashing" to the background. Without any progress indicator to see if the page is still loading outside of the visible window, there is no way to ensure that the page is fully loaded. The side swiping to get from section to section is not really intuitive when there is a linked table of contents. Of course if you swipe too quickly, crash. This is on an iPad model MD512LL/A running iOS 10.3.3.
Lest the devs think that silence means the issue is solved, after the 26 Mar build my iPad was able to maintain a session for a record 13 minutes as I was attempting to download content. when I tapped back to the Compendium from being in a module, it crashed to the background. I restored from the background and attempted to search When I hit search it crashed to the background. When I restored from the background it displayed the search results. It would crash to the background each time I attempted to tap a result. Upon restore it would restore to the compendium screen not the search results. Opening the search would show the "recent result" three crashes and restores later I was able to open a Monster Manual entry on the monster I searched. Just make a WIN10 app already. I will deploy in three days to a place without wifi and the legendary package you sold me will be useless. **EDIT** Also crashes to background any time I try to tap a bookmark.
Crashes horrifically for me too on an ipad air 2, current iOS version. Seems to work fine on my Galaxy S8. Much prefer to read on the larger screen though. Extraordinarily disappointing.
This thread is quite old, so I'm not sure if this was still an issue or not but we did release a stability patch this week. Please make sure to update your app in the Play Store or App Store and report back if you are still experiencing this issue.
The app has no features exclusive to IPv6 and the website linked in the prior post (now removed) is not an official website from Apple or D&D Beyond. Everyone should be mindful of phishing attacks. :)

I have downloaded the Beta app on my iPad, but it crashes everytime it starts loading the content. I have the newest ios version.
I continue to have the same issue.
Same
Same :(
Yeah this app sucks balls.
I can get into it, but when I'm going to, for example, the spells from the wizard page, CRASH. Any internal links crash it.
I have the same problem as cgatton. I can open it but any internal link crashes the app, especially if I try to open a different book.

Have the same issue. It’s very bad on the iPad and still happens of the iPhone a fair bit.
I am also having this issue. Is this because of the IOS 11 update that the app doesn't want to work on 10.3.3?
Mine crashes on open constantly as well. Reported in another thread.
iOS 11.2.6, app 1.0.2, iPad mini 2 (ME280C/A) 32 GB, lots of free space.

Despite being an old thread I actually still had this problem until this recent update. Now it works perfectly on my Ipad Air.
