My D&D Beyond app on my iPhone recently deleted all the books I had downloaded, forcing me to redownload them all. Not a big issue, but my iPad also deleted my books but when I try to redownload them the app crashes.
Can confirm deleting the app worked for me. Thanks, everyone!
Deleting the app and reinstalling on my iPad Mini 2 doesn't solve the problem for me. I only had the basic rules downloaded, but the app doesn't even get through displaying the compendium before it crashes. It still crashes after the reinstall and I hadn't redownloaded the basic rules even.
I come to the forums to see if this is an issue with other people and it seems to be. Does anyone know why the app isn’t keeping the content downloaded?
the whole point of the app is to have offline access to the content and seems kind of pointless that I need to connect to the internet to redownload the books earlier in the day in order to have them without internet access. Is there any fixes people have found out, as I’ve already reinstalled the app 3 times and am still getting this randomly deleting error.
Lots of downloaded data continues to be an issue. Various crashes continue to occur regularly but especially during and after downloading, and screen redraws after minimizing and going back.
redownloaded app on Ipad 4, downloaded about half the content, now it insta crashes every time you open the app. Also I am a legendary bundle owner, so this is kinda the point for buying all that content. to have it on 1 ipad instead of 12 books
Is there any official word on this one? In the same boat, crashes before even displaying the full list of content. I've deleted and reinstalled. At a loss as to what to do differently.
This is ridiculous. I wanted all the books on my iPad as well, but I can’t even get the damn app to stay open for the one I’ve bought. Why can’t you guys make the digital versions available on Kindle? Or, if Wizards just can’t stand to do the right thing and make the digital content available on something that actually works, refund me my money? Maybe you could hire some programmers away from Amazon so they can teach you how to create a working app.

Please, state your device and operating system versions, so that the developers can understand where the problem is.
The app is working in most devices and systems, just for your information.
Device iPad Mini (ME277LL/A), OS version 11.4.1 (15G77)
D&D Beyond: App v.1.0.4.0, Manifest v9.6
I get crashes when in the Compendium usually after I download content or if I switch content. I'm willing to do anything you folks suggest because there's definitely a level of frustration here as well. I've noticed most crashes occur when trying to pull the list of content (ie switching from Content to Adventures or vice-versa).
I own all content. I started with everything downloaded, the app would crash after displaying approximately 50% of the downloaded content.
If I managed to get into some content and would then tap on the Compendium button, the app would redraw all of the downloaded content and crash again.
Thinking it could be something to do with having too much content downloaded, I deleted all content, but went into settings and turned off display installed content only. After drawing approximately 50% of the content I have available to download, the app crashed.
Opened the app, quickly tapped settings and turned display installed content only back on. Went into My Content, downloaded P!ayers Handbook. The PHB displayed fine. Went into the PHB content, changed pages and chapters, tapped on Compendium button and everything is fine. Went to Settings and My Content to download another source, when the images for the content started to be drawn the app crashed.
Decided to do some testing to see how much content can be displayed without getting crashes. I downloaded all the Compendium content except Basic Rules, so 9 sources, but no Adventures. PHB, DMG, MM, VGTM, MTOF, XGTE, TP, WGTE, SCAG. Main screen loads with no issues. I went into the DMG, flipped through pages and jumped around to chapters, then pressed the Compendium button. Four sources were drawn and then the app crashed.
Uninstalled the app, restarted my iPad, reinstalled the app. Logged into Twitch. No content was downloaded, and I scrolled down as the images were drawn of the content available to download. Ten items were drawn, and then the app crashed.
One final thing of note, I do not have any of these problems on my iPhone 8+. Everything loads perfectly and there are no crashes.
I started up my Mac and opened the Console to see the output from my iPad when opening D&D Beyond. I still have nothing installed, settings are turned so that Only Show Installed Content is turned off. The app crashed again, right at the memory pressure point in the console output.
Rather than try and paste all of the Console output into multiple forum posts, here is part one of the console output
Is there maybe a common set of troubleshooting steps you'd like us to do? I seem to only have the problem on my iPad and when switching compendium items or loading the list of items downloaded on the device. I know I've given details; is there anything else we need to do to get an idea that someone is working on these issues?

Same for me. I opened the app to see it was re downloading all the content I had previously downloaded, then crashes half through.
re opened app to find all content removed, and the app now crashes when trying to download any book.
This was on iPhone, and iPad
Removing the app and re installing seems to have resolved it. I had to log in again so maybe some issue with twitch authentication when using the app?
After updating to the latest, all my purchases were removed, upon download, the app now crashes
As above..Deleting the app and downloading again has worked for me too.
Can confirm deleting the app worked for me. Thanks, everyone!

Could not download content on my iPad Pro; deleted the app and logged in and now it works. I have downloaded the Basic rules and Players handbook.
Same here. Downloads crashing, delete and re authenticate, good to go.

This entire product turned out to be a total rip off.
Not to mention all the alternatives have been asked to shut down. This is so infuriating.
I was edited for calling out that individuals do a better better job than their entire team can. Shocking.
