This may not be a bug common to everyone, as my friend is not seeing it.
But in Xanathar's Guide to Everything in the iOS DnDBeyond app, the content between the "Urban Encounters" table and "Common Magic Items" will not render in my app. If you are just paging through the book with screen swipes, it will just jump over the missing content with no indication that there should've been something there. If you try to select any of the missing sections from the table of contents links, I just get a spinning wheel that never resolves.
I thought that my download of XGtE might have been corrupted some how, so I removed and reinstalled it, but same issue. I also tried removing the entire app and reinstalling, same issue.
Anyone else see anything like this? I'm not sure if any of my other purchased content is seeing similar issues.
Definitely a strange issue that I don't believe we have reported.
Would you mind providing the iOS version, phone / tablet model, the version of the app and the version of Xanathar's you have installed (you can find this in My Account -> About).
A friend of mine told me about the Customer Support menu that can be revealed, and I have tried all 4 options there. Manifest Updates, Reset Timer, Restore Manifest, and Restore Purchases.
I am experiencing a nearly identical issue on Android. The exact same content (everything in XGtE between Urban Encounters and Common Magic Items) won't render in my app. The only difference for me is that tapping links for the missing sections in the table of contents simply reloads the table of contents.
i'm also having this problem on both my my Ipad pro and phone 8, both with the newest IOS version, and the newest version of the app. iv tried everything i can think of, it wont show Downtime activities, no matter how i try to look at it.
Same issue, iPhone 8+, iOS 11.4 and previous version.
Trying to go to “Traps Revisited” through “Downtime Activities” from the table of contents gives me a spinning red circle. Manually swiping through the pages, the last page of random encounters goes right to common magic items.
But I did just notice that when I use the page selection function in the app to look at XGtE that it jumps from "Urban Encounters" to "Common Magic Items" like the content isn't even there to be rendered.
I was hopeful with the initial reply, but the radio silence since is a bit disheartening. I’ve contemplated reposting with an alternate title, but don’t want to be “that guy” on the forum, ya know.
I figure bumping this post with some regularity is the best I can do. At least the web version works.
Maybe start a new post “I want a refund for XGE because you’re ignoring a bug post regarding missing content that is affecting all platforms and you’re not responding.” That might get someone’s attention. Between my master tier subscription and buying the legendary bundle, I expected at least a “hey we see it, we’ll get it fixed.”
Hey folks, we are aware of this problem and have a fix coming down the pipeline. I cannot commit to a date yet but it is of high priority now that yesterday's update is behind us.
I want to sincerely apologize that I did not follow up sooner with everyone in this thread (since my last post in this thread was exactly a month ago). I realize that the communication and followup on this thread has been neglected.

Hey TDawgBR,

Sure.

Appreciate any help available.

Not sure if you got a notification about my reply below, but I figured I've give you a reply as a bump.

Sounds like the same section I’m having problems with. Can you see the Traps Revisited section at all? That’s where it starts being a problem for me.
Alos I upgraded to iOS 11.4 today but it had no effect.
I’m having the exact same issue.
Versions:
App - v1.0.3.0
Manifest - v9.4
XGtE - v8
Having the exact same issue.
2018 iPad, iOS 11.4, current app, Xgte v8.
Urban encounters works, as does magic items, however nothing in between those 2 sections display.
If I go to urban encounters table and swipe to page turn it skips straight to common magic items.
If I try to click on any section of traps or downtime, I just get a blank page with a red spinning circle that never ends.
Same issue here. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.
Same issue, iPhone 8+, iOS 11.4 and previous version.

Same problem missing the same chapters. Galaxy s8 and iPad mini
Same issue for iPhone 8 iOS 11.4
Versions:
App - v1.0.4.0
Manifest - v9.4
PH - v8
DMG - v8
MM - v8
SCAG - v8
VGtM - v8
ToA - v8
XGtE - v8
TTP - v8
MToF - v3
I have this issue on my Samsung S7 Edge as well. Glad to know this is not just me!

Still hoping we hear something back.

Anyone else feel like if the thread was titled "don't buy XGtE, it's broken" we would get some feedback or progress on this bug?

Also experiencing the exact same thing. Was trying to look up the "Awarding Magic Items" section and nothing. Also on iOS
App - v1.0.4.0
Manifest - v9.4
XGtE - v8
