A quite basic check for you. The world is not US ASCII.
These characters are totally legal and welcome but display badly on the web and also on iPhone. On iPhone (latest app and files), search for "animate dead" the 3rd entry is "The Gods of Faerûn" in SWAG. If opened the text (title) is OK.
The basic ASCII set uses 7 bits per character so 128 symbols and the extended ASCII character set uses 8 bits, which gives it an additional 128 characters. The extended ASCII characters don't support everywhere so it will be a problem to display that characters and it will show as box box-like structure. If you need any kind of support you can check Microsoft Tech Support UK
Well, all the sites in the world manage that it just a problem of encoding/decoding, documenting the encoding. Not cutting the HTML in the wrong spot etc. See https://www.dndbeyond.com/search?q=eacute with Ogrémoch correct as a title and broken two lines below.
I hope we can look into these issues but could you please provide me with a bit more information. Which books do you have downloaded and what version of the app are you using. You can find this information in My Account -> About
Search will only search installed sources, so to be sure I recreate the issue exactly, I'd like to mirror your exact setup.

Search will only search iand for the above on installed sources, so to be sure I recreate the issue exactly, I'd like to mirror your exact setup.
And for the above iPad2 issues, reinstalling everything from scratch does not help
Thanks for following up with me and giving me some more details.
First, just to set expectations, this section of the forum is dedicated to the mobile app, so anything pertaining to the website itself should be posted here instead.
I'm having trouble reproducing the issue you mentioned with searching for "animate dead". Could you possibly post a screenshot of the issue occurring in-app?
- IN the settings, the highest options (e.g. font size small are unavailable). Yes, you can change them from the main screen but from the settings you cannot set any of the values the highest in the choices
I'll take a look into this issue. We had this issue in the past for iOS v10 but perhaps it wasn't solved on this particular screen.
In the meantime, you can open any book and access the same exact options in the top right as a work around. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

When you say the app "blows up", I assume you mean it crashes (and goes to your Home screen). Is this only an issue on the iPad 2 v10.3.3 or do you experience this both on your iPhone and iPad?
Here is the screen shot of the search for "Animate dead" on my iphone 6S+, latest iOSs and DnDB and content. As you can see Faerûn appears witht u circ displaying with its HTML encoding. (this would be really handy to have a way to copy images to these post instead of using another system) https://www.dropbox.com/s/v7efrzdx5642h00/AnimateDead.jpg?dl=0
Regarding the crash (blows up) on iPad2 v10.3.3, the same works fine on the above iphone. Uninstalling fully on iPad and resinstalling does not help.
And I just found another bug (I am software developer by trade). Take the same iPhone. Search for Waterdeep. You get many hits. Search for faerun, faerûn or other variation, you just get no results. Obviously the accented characters create a problem. As in most of the cases, the search should be case agnostic and accent agnostic.
Thanks Olivier

DndB devs must fix that !
