Been that way since the app added backgrounds, and it's ridiculous. Just text, not some deep coding issue. It's been reported numerous times, but has yet to be acknowledged.
On both the iOS and Android compendium apps, the Background listings don't have any text for their "Feature" when viewing backgrounds individually.
In-sourcebook text is fine, as are the Background listings on the web compendium.
