Hey there, I am a DnD Beyond user since the very first day and I love the website and all the great progress it has made. I only have one small question/request. I am using DnD Beyond mainly to DM and as such have quite the bunch of Characters that I also use as NPCs in my campaigns. I am wondering if it would be possible to make a folder-type feature that would allow one to, as an example, create folders named after campaigns and then cities within the setting or the like to better find the Characters. I know this is a request that probably only concerns very few people but I think for those few of us it might be a huge quality of life improvement.
As a person with over 120 characters, the ability to sort them into different folders would be amazing.
Yikes.
I already want a folder option with just 20 characters, I can't imagine it with 120. I would never find anything.
If characters were easier to navigate, I would make more of them.
There is a search function in the character list
Truely a useful tool. (l would know). For now, l put key words into the characters names (such as "Done") to search for them quickly. Its no folder system, but it works untill something better comes along.

I dunno about that, even barring the characters I'm using for campaigns that I DM, I still have a lot of concept builds, and for some I have copies of them at Level 3, 11, and 20... so to be able to organize some of those in a separate folder would be useful as well.
My character list is currently at 55, but due to the aforementioned duplicates that number would be 35ish. Taking out NPCs for my campaigns would drop it down to the 20s.
No matter how I slice it, having folders would just be a god send to the site.
Just FYI, there's another thread out there on the exact same topic... adding it here to hopefully keep this topic bumped so someone will take just the smallest step. It's just silly to tell folks they have a subscription that offers unlimited characters but then give you some modest sorting, no filtering, and zero organization. https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/d-d-beyond-feedback/57805-folders-of-characters
I would like to add my voice to this request, folders for characters is an absolute MUST for DMs. I have WAY to many characters, and being able to parse them to their individual locations in my world would be a life savior. D&D Beyond...please make our dream a reality!

In any case, thank you all for the great work.
There used to be a browser extension called Beyond Help that did this (among other things), but sadly is unavailable now.
This is constantly asked for, unfortunately it doesn't seem like this is a priority.

That's a good idea but it still doesn't really replace a folder system...
Definitely.
