The Basic Rules should start with an introduction and an example of how to play Dungeons & Dragons, complete with a simple sample adventure, a dice app, instructions on how to run a game for a new Dungeon Master, and links to videos of people having fun playing the game.
I get it that D&D Beyond is a digital port of the existing 5th Edition rules as per the System Reference Document, but there is a "How to..." in the Basic Rules 5th Ed. PDF document, and this is the perfect opportunity to include that "How to..." in D&DB so that it will greet people who have never played D&D before when they check out the app. What better way to expose potential players to the game than by including a sample of the game in the app that's supposed to be an all-in-one digital resource for the game?
