It seems that they didn't implement the ability to do decimals or fractions in their filter. You can, however, do a range of 0 - 1 to get all monsters 1 or less, then sort by CR.
Agreed CR fractions is really handy for lower level parties. The search function is really good except for the fact that you can't narrow your search for a quick random encounter for a pack of CR1/8 beasts.
It may just be a filtering bug or oversight at this point. If someone puts in a range of CR from 0 to 0 it renders all the 1/2, 1/4, and 1/8th monsters as well as the 0s. Or the entries in the database don't have fractions or decimals.
EDIT actually that seems to return lots of things rather than only the 0 CR entries.
Right now, I'm not able to filter monsters to a CR of 1/4. Is there a string that is meant to call up those results presently?

Yeah, fraction CR is a thing, and quite important for rangers, conjure spells, encounter design, etc.
