I am not sure what the scope of D&D Beyond would be and I know folks from Curse/WoTC probably have NDAs locking them down. But since I see there are "custom items/spells/monsters" on the horizon of things to come, perhaps this is not too far out to put on a wishlist:
It would be really cool if there were functionality on the website to create a "party" or "group" with specific accounts on the site (via username). What would be even cooler is if the DM of this group could grant access to custom data he has created for his campaign.
If we could have access to some type of "campaign portal" (similar to obsidian portal) where the party members could upload their characters etc, and DMs could enter campaign lore (maps etc), that would just be icing on the cake.
I totally agree with what your saying, campaign management can get really hard and overwhelming so having a tool on this site like a campaign manager would be awesome.
