Seems like this would be more helpful as an excluding filter as usually the question comes up with "what can I cast with my hands tied, gagged, without my belongings"
Ooooh, excellent idea. I also wouldn't mind seeing an advanced filter that separates between spells with a gold cost (Like Identify or Raise Dead) and spells that don't have a gold cost. Especially handy for those campaigns where the DM wants party members to have pre-bought items for spells that require it.
Another good one! Yeah, I do make my players pay the price for components ( standard price for pre purchase make them pay +50% for not planning ahead, if I allow it at all)
Yeah I imagined when I clicked on the components like (V), it would show me spells only with verbal components, not spells that required them and something else.
Perhaps a way to pick and choose. If I click V once I get all spells that are verbal. If I click it twice, get spells that do not include verbal at all. Gives the option to cater the search a lot better.
Now that I think about it, that should be applied to picking class spells as well. Play a Lore Bard, I want all 5th level spells that are not bard spells for magical secrets, hit Bard twice, other classes once.

Looks like SubClass is "coming soon" in the Spell advanced filter.
Edit: realized I misunderstood. Yeah exemption of a class would be nice. Maybe a global "exemption" toggle for the filters.
i.e. Cleric spells that are not also Paladin spells.
I came here to make the same suggestion. As a multiclassed spellcaster with weapon and shield in hand, I can get around somatic components with War Caster, but not material components. Being able to filter down to spells without material components would be a great help.
Exactly! I want to see what I can cast without having to say a word. I feel like I want an exclusive search more often than I want an inclusive search for components.

You can most certainly try.

I don't play bards, because it rhymes with farts

Oh yeah, both would be nice.

Yeah, some really granular advanced filtering would be awesome!
thumbs up here.

I agree, I want to sort spells by which components they don't need
Absolutely great idea. V, S, M filter should definitely be a searchable element or filter tag.
