This is looking really exciting! As the DM I'm the only one with my laptop at the table - I would love to have the references cite book and page numbers, so I could say to my players 'yeah sorry, check PHB page 92' and then everyone gets to see?
This is an essential function; the ability to provide a rule reference to the players/DM. Part of game play is mutual understanding the rules of the game. As a DM, you are blessed with the responsibility of educating new players but also arbitrating disputes.
Although my core group plays via VTT there are times when challenges to how we are executing something arises and the group scrambles to the references. One player may look up something so we do not have to break stride in a story and the quote the reference to others. It helps keep us informed when we are able to communicate knowledge succinctly. Page references do just that.
A great suggestion, I think this might be included when they actually add the PHB content as right now its only the SRD which doesn't really have a physical book that is commonly referenced.
