If the dev team ever gets feedback from this thread than I'm certain they would have thousands of requests about allowing homebrew items. Specifically non-magical items or "base" items. A good example would be crafting a weapon like a broadsword - a long-sword viariant the weighs more, lacks the Versatile trait, but has a different critical threat range or multiplier. There are hundreds of custom non-magical wepaons or armors that players and DMs have reasons to design.
While this isn't quite the same as a builder, it is something you can add to your sheet using custom actions and items - including a weapon that uses whatever stat you want and any dice you want, with any weight you want, doing any damage you want, etc.
Long video but it has chapters and stuff in description and pinned comment.
Hope it helps.

You can quite easily add custom languages to character sheets. You have to go to the sheet itself, and then just click add language, choose custom, and type the name.

Leaving OGL 1.0(a) untouched and making SRD 5.1 CC-BY-4.0 is a great first step. The next is a promise to do the same for future editions. Here's a discussion thread on that.

Just as with pen & pepar - you can write anything you want on the sheet, but that doesn't make it useful. The purpose of the Beyond toollset is that it puts the DM & all players on the same page.
The official D&D beyond setting and rules are fine for some people, but I've never played in ran a game that didn't involve extensive re-writes of the rules in order to facilite fair & fun gameplay. Not every setting includes Elves or Orcs, or goblins, and therefore those languages are not useful.
While it is possible to scribble in a custom language on the sheet, the process of creating a character invovles making a number of selections. Your race, background, and some feats require that you select a language. There needs to be a way to add custom languages to that list.

DDB is great, but it could be better. Here are some things I think could improve DDB
