I would like to suggest being able to toggle on/off MotM or the options pre-MotM, especially in campaign sharing links, for character building. I feel the current set up is causing or could cause confusion among new players and returning players alike.
For example at this moment if I was to tell the players at my table that Arakrocra are a race in my homebrew world (& they could pick them in the campaign link), they may be confused on *which* Arakrocra since there are two and they are different, or if two different players choose a different one then if could possibly cause the issue of "why is their flying speed better?" Which Yes *could* technically be roleplayed out but I would rather not have the issues.
I doubt this will happen, given that D&D Beyond is trying to phase out the old versions of the races, labelling them “legacy” versions and removing Volo’s Guide and Mordenkainen’s Tome from the marketplace starting tomorrow (though those that bought the books before their removal can still use the Legacy versions). Therefore, if a toggle is introduced, it will likely not give the two sets equal parity, but rather be something like “Allow Legacy Content”.

Yeah some kind of toggle in the Preferences page would be ideal imo
No, you can't toggle what character options or specific sources are shared, only if the players will have access to the Compendium entries for the sources.
Leaving OGL 1.0(a) untouched and making SRD 5.1 CC-BY-4.0 is a great first step. The next is a promise to do the same for future editions. Here's a discussion thread on that.

This would work for my needs as well.
It does look as though this discontinue did happen this morning so I wonder if what you suggested will come to fruition.

If it's not already in place, I highly doubt it ever will be, with the rate at which features come out on this website these days. There's features they said they were working on years ago that still haven't seen the light of day, and the feature request portal hasn't marked a suggestion as "planned" in years. I don't expect them to change that anytime soon even with WotC acquiring them.

Thanks for your feedback on the need for better filtering/display of the race options in the character builder. I know the staff is aware of this issue and considering how to best address it.

DDB is great, but it could be better. Here are some things I think could improve DDB

😔 Oh, darn
