I'm assuming you mean a mobile app though, which will probably be getting testing later, usually they take longer to get to a state that people are ready to actually use, even for testing.
It will come with time, I think it might be easier to build web than mobile.

Currently, I'm using it on my phone (I'm at work right now) and it all seems to be working really well! The only thing is that there is a delay on the search filters, but I agree that a mobile app would be fantastic and I hope it is in development.

The filter delay is on desktop too, though it might be worse on mobile.

I think that while it may be a "Web app," that is not what most people think of or want for their game. It seems no different to me than using any one of a number of currently avalible online resources at present, as opposed to introducing a one app alternative to the not so great options that exist on mobile devices.

It is currently not an app but I believe in due time it may become one. I think we should just give it time and if no news comes up then we can make a more firm decision.

Indeed, mobile apps need to have iOS and Android versions and can take a lot of system resources putting all the rules, spells, items, and monsters in one place.

While I would tend to agree, up until this release I have been using a mobile app found on the google play store that contains all the information on here as well as user submitted updates for content released after the PhB. It is only 30.5MB. Then again this is a very basic implementation and while it does sort and filter content in a pretty user friendly manner, it does not have as much capability as I see this web-app possessing in the near future.
I also was hoping for a mobile app. I don't have my PC in front of me when we game and I was hoping to have a good interface on my phone. Mobile browsing isn't what I'm looking for so this is a bit of a let down. I do hope they build a mobile app down the road because that is really what my team is looking for.
