So there's the Book and D&D Beyond Bundle, that Farling's right about as it's probably more cost effective to just buy through another vendor. But there's also the Deluxe Bundle which on Amazon gives you the book, a screen, and the Warriors of Krynn wargame for $144. But directly from Wizards you can get a bundle of the book, screen, warriors of Krynn AND the DDB book with early access for $155 shipping included (all purchases over $99 are free).
I don't know if you can upgrade, and I'm wondering if this is a new offering since I haven't seen it discussed amongst the pricing debates. This Deluxe Dragonlance Bundle does seem a decent deal.

Yeah, starting with Dragonlance, WotC is going offer digital physical bundles for at least some of the upcoming releases. I already bought the basic bundle and just want to know if you can upgrade.
It does seem like a decent deal for sure. Heroes of Krynn looks awesome!
Small correction, it's not "starting with" the Dragonlance adventure. The Dragonlance bundle is a test to see if this approach is viable for everyone long term
What I mean to say by “starting with" is that DL is the first release you can purshase as a digital/physical bundle. Wotc has stated that they're testing out the bundle feature starting with Dragonlance, seeing how all the moving parts function (shipping, backstock, pre-order numbers, ect.), adjusting what doesn't work, and then testing out future releases with the updated version of the Di/Ph bundle.
You're right that not every future release is guaranteed to get a bundle option, I'm guessing some won't. It's all but guaranteed, however, that they'll keep offering the bundle feature on select select titles for the foreseeable future. In lieu of poor sales, of course.
You called this bundle a test. What are you testing?
We are testing everything from distribution method and quantities to bundle contents. We thought it was important to call this out as a test because you should expect things to change over the next two years while we work on bringing more D&D in more ways to more people.
Shipping for me is $43 USD, so the bundles are definitely more viable for US customers than non-US customers. Especially if you live somewhere where shipping is $83 USD. The digital book only is $26 USD for me, making it much more likely that if I buy the physical book, I'll buy it when it's in a local gamestore. Even if the book by itself in the store is the same price as the online digital/physical bundle, I'm still saving $17 USD from the total price of the book.
That said, I believe Wizards probably priced shipping this way to actually encourage the system above so they don't have to deal as often with painful shipping logistics for overseas customers.
Yep, I got ya. What it doesn't say is that it's a one-off.
It does say the following:
"Can I expect more D&D products to offer physical and digital bundles?
Yes! We want to deliver on this ask. Right now, we are in the test and learn phase. Join us on this first foray and expect more in the future. For now, we’re not quite ready to commit to every book getting a bundle."
Regardless of the various aspects of the bundle, and what is meant by "Testing," all really wanted to know is if I could upgrade my bundle from regular to deluxe.

That honestly sounds like more of a customer service question I think you'd have to look at WotC's site; I'm not sure if these new direct physical sales are tied into DDB's customer service ticketing system.

Hello!
My apologies if this has been asked elsewhere; I didn't see any threads on this topic after a cursory glance.
Does anyone know if you can upgrade your Dragonlance bundle from regular to deluxe, post purchase?
On dndbeyond, you only have a single purchase available - no option of regular or deluxe.
It is probably cheaper to buy the game separately from your favourite supplier than to buy it as part of a deluxe package from the WOTC web site.
That's incorrect in regards to the Dragonlance module coming out in December. You can see the details here:

Here's to hoping it does well.
I'm just paraphrasing the FAQ

If you're not in the US, that totally make sense, for sure

Yeah, you're probably right. I sent support an email, so we'll see. Just thought I'd ask here first
Maybe you'll luck out and a user who successfully did what you want to do can show you the ropes.
