Thank you, I missed the Advanced Filter option. One modification, under Components i'd suggest including "without" filter (icon: a slash through component). Ex: exclude spells that have a Verbal (/V) component.
Say I want no material but must have somantic. Select "S" and "/M"
Great Start! Finding the sorting feature very useful especially with the classes that can switch out the spells after resting and the sub classes that can only choose from two schools of magic. I would like to see as the spells are expanded to other sources, where the source spell can be found. As in the book they are printed in. While the spells from PHB so far are verbatim, players do have a tendency to try and put their own "spin" on them. Having where the spell comes from can be helpful in curbing that.
One of the issues I run into is the AoE of spells. Lots of players, both new and experienced, can find the descriptions confusing. Putting a miniature graphic with the AoE marked on spells like Fireball, Cone of Cold etc... would be super helpful.
When you go to the "spel's page" one should find more content than a possible picture or page reference...
i was thinking of more along the line of example uses. While this could be noted as possibly limiting imaginative uses by players, I simply think that for some the "story" example might give a bit more context for players, and therefore curb some misuse or misunderstanding of mechanics. Also you could give an in combat and an out of combat example
then also proving if (later) links to "adaptions" or "complimentary" spells would be great too! Spurring on player creativity, while still grounding them a bit in Lore or mechanics so they don't try something tooo crazy!
I'm guessing it's been mentioned, but when I sort spells by range/area, a strange thing happens. The first time I click on the column header, all the top spells are "self," which makes sense. But it's not like all the bottom ones are 120' or more. Animate Dead (with a range of 10') is right next to Animate Objects (with a range of 120'). Something in how you're sorting the spell ranges is broken. If I reverse the sort, it's consistent: all the "self" ranges are at the bottom, but the top seems pretty random.
The abjuration cantrip "blade ward" seems to be missing in the spell listing.
For the Beta, only SRD content is available (The SRD is not the Core Rule books). Blade Ward is not found in the SRD and wont be listed here until the PHB and other books are added.
As you may have read above, only content from the SRD available during the beta. That's the Systems Reference Document - its content is free but far more limited than the Player's Handbook or other paid content you may be used to.

Not sure if this is where to post this but I'm trying to make a Druid and I noticed thornwhip is not an option as a cantrip when it should be per phb.
Unfortunately not all core rules content will be in the beta of these tools. Right now the tools are limited to WotC official SRD content.

Thank you and keep up the great work!

Love the filter option!
But it'd be nice if it remembered my selection to sort by level after modifying a filter.
Also would be nice if there was a "save list" or export list feature, other than bookmarking, which doesn't preserve that sort preference.
Also would be nice to be able to expand all spell descriptions.
Maybe some of this would be addressed on the character building side, looking forward to next phases.
Hard to tell if the sphere icon implies radius or diameter
If you mean like make a "favorites" list ... I would be down with that option!

I'm using this on my Kindle and I have to say that it is working great. Being able to filter spells for my cleric is of immense use.
Can you add the ritual tag as a separate filter in the spell list?

Chromatic orb isn't on the spell list?
