So, I was thinking it would be a useful feature if you could limit searches to only include content from books you own, that way you don't need to manually filter the search to whichever books you own on D&D beyond.
Honestly the search bar needs to sort by relevance before filtering out licences.
The other day I was looking for the "rules for hiding" that the hide action rules specifically mention and the search results for "hiding" were mostly monsters, so I filtered for specifically compendium entries and it was mostly adventures, a few monster descriptions, the hide action rule was flagged 4 times, the invisible condition was 3 results, then every mention of hiding (like skulker feat for example) got 1 result.
None of the search results were the actual "rules for hiding" that the rules specifically told me to reference! But I did find a lead. The Rick and Morty book, of all things, had the same "following the rules for hiding" line as the PHB, but had 1 little wording change: "in chapter 1"!
So I was able to go to chapter 1 and use ctrl+f to find "hiding" and one of 4 results is the "hiding and vision" side bar. THE rules for something should be the first search result, not be completely missing from the results. It has been a few years since I've complained about DDB abysmal search bar that pales in comparison to circa 2008 forums, and in the 4 years since I started using this site, this integral, go-to tool has not been improved at all. I have had to memorize what chapters of what book have which rules because I have experienced that if I don't, I wont be able to find them.
