I recently brought the moonblade item (individually), and was disappointed to find that its key feature (it's runes) don't function the way one would imagine on dnd beyond. it just functions like a regular longsword with a legendary tag and a large description. I was wondering if there would be a way to get the benefits of the sword to show up on your character sheet? (like it would with a +1 weapon for example)
Currently items don't support 'modular' modifiers like moonblade runes. However, this is something the team has said they wish to support in the future, both for weapons like Moonblade, and the various draconic weapons from Fizbans
