I am very disappointed in the advent coupons. Those are not gifts. There is a treasure trove of content that many people did not receive from preorders or not having memberships. Use that stuff. Give out holiday themed things that we can actually use. A coupon is pointless. And a time limited coupon to try to force people to buy something during a time when money is already thin... that's just greedy and bad practice.
I think the only redeeming thing about this is the opportunity to give us a free PHB tomorrow. Honestly, I've already got the physical one, why not just give me the stinking digital one? I know it's not the smartest business decision, but come ON!
I dont expect anything and I hate to look like Im complaining... but NGL the calendar and (especially) coupons were disappointing (doubly so since some of them werent for beyond stuff, and were US only). Papercraft is fun... if you have kids I guess.
Some actual beyond stuff would have been nice: character sheet stuff. Or dice. A one shot adventure. An extra character sheet slot... something. The mini monster compendium was neat but non-dms wont get much use.
Final gift to us is a colouring page of a yeti. Great fun for the kids, or the kidults who have spare crayons around and looking for something to do while staying in from the cold.
As someone who is relatively new to D&DBeyond, I did make use of the 25% off DMG and 20% off Tasha’s, however without a printer I haven’t made much use of many of the other fun things they added.
I can totally understand that if these rolled around next year I’d be a little disappointed
I am also disapointed. Coupons for products I already own, more coupons for merch that I don't want, some paper stuff for kids (which I am not)... I thought at least the 24th would be something decent and usable for the platform (dice set, character frame)... what a waste of time.
This massive amount of advertisements and frankly lame coupons was really odd. Advent calendars are intended to be small gifts. Things like borders, backgrounds, or other cosmetic things would have been lovely. It costs very little for them to make things like this but here we are. I hope to see DDB maybe give away some nice stuff tomorrow on Christmas to make up for this abomination or think better of this for next year. The printables were great but the % off "coupons" were not it.
Tried to use one of the more useful codes - the one from 2022-12-10 for the Terrain Campaign Case - but I got an error saying that it is not applicable to this type of products. Did it actually expire?
Ah yes. Coupons. For products I already own… cool. I genuinely hope other people are enjoying these.

A New Year's card. Not bad. It's not a coupon so I'll take it.

Well; numbers are in... by my count:
Paper-craft: 6/20
Coupon codes (various): 11/20
Leaving... 3 that are neither of those, one an entry for a contest, one DLC for a mobile idle-game, and one actually usable monster pack.

I'm with you on this. It was less of an advent calendar (which KP did exceptionally better) and more of a "give us more of your money" promotions.
Unless there is something really big they are not advertising going on tomorrow, they really dropped the ball on this.
Is it going to be a marketing strategy or is it just lame?

Coupons for products you are selling are not gifts. They're a sale.
