Out of curiosity, if legacy races are going to continue to be compatible with Beyond as separate entries, why can't we buy legacy versions of races we didn't have before the switch?
Because WoTC delisted those products. While you may find existing copies for sale at book stores and on Amazon. They're no longer in print and will one day run out. If WoTC isn't selling, then DNDB isn't selling.
Because WotC is trying to delete their world and monster lore for some reason. The only reason people who already bought it still have it is because literally stealing from your customers is a bad look.
Generally speaking the stats and character options that got reprinted are improved (with very few exceptions that received a noticable nerf for perceived balance issues). My problem is all the stuff that didn't get reprinted being made unavailable (luckily I have it, but I am against this kind of overreach).
