Add Theros Piety feature as "Feat". I can't find a way to add the allowed features of the "Piety" rewards granted in the Theros setting. It would be great is the Piety granted abilities could be added to character sheets via the "Manage Feats" or the "Extras" tool. Example, the +3 to Piety for a follower of Kruphix is the Mage Hand cantrip and Detect Magic spell. I can't add these to the online character sheet spell list, except as a text reference in my notes.
They have declared that even though the homebrew workaround for things like this is to create a feat, if something is not in actuality a feat, they will not make a feat in order to serve users. It made sense when the logic was 'if we make a feat for 10000 people to use, and then we get the piety system working and remove the feat, it'll break things for a lot of people,' but as development lags I think the number of people who'd be happy to take a temporary fix they don't need to make themselves, then be told how to switch when (if) the real fix ever comes along, gets higher and higher.
Thanks. I didn't think about the home brew option. Added the "devotee" items via that route. Still, the piety mechanic is officially part of their hard copy product line and in the electronic source book, it should be built into the DNDBeyond system if they are selling Theros source book via DNDBeyond. Seems lazy on their part.
