The problem is that DnD Beyond just shows ALL of them in my spell list, so when I'm trying to figure out what to do on my turn, my spell list is full of things I can't actually use and it gets really confusing in the heat of combat... (Like I accidentally used "ray of sickness" the other night when I shouldn't have access to it while in full moon phase - I missed so no real biggie but still not good)
Under the spells it says "Lunar Embodiment" to clarify it comes from this table - but it doesn't mention what the lunar phase you need to be in to cast it is...
I'm level 4 and my current moon phase is "Full Moon" so I only want to see the spells under that table in my spell list - or at the very least "grey out" the spells I can't use because its the wrong phase
OR EVEN JUST putting the "phase" next to the spells so instead of just "Lunar Embodiment" it says "Lunar Embodiment - Full Moon" or "Lunar Embodiment - New Moon" etc
I know its a futile effort to expect anything to actually change but I wanted to rant about this annoyance anyway
You have access to all the spells. You know them all. The phase change is a free spell at first level depending on phase and the metamagic discount. Dndbeyond is correct.
It is not displaying correctly for me either. My character is 1st level, and it shows 2 instances of Color Spray and 1 of shield. When I change to the one for Ray of Sickness it does not show at all.

I am getting the same exact issue and I have the ray of sickness spell purchased.

This thread has been necro'd a bit, but since I'm within a month of the previous post, I'm going to go ahead and post myself. Rtarara is correct. When you are in a certain moon phase, you can cast that phase's 1st-level spell for free once per long rest. For example, let's say you have Full Moon phase active, so you can cast Shield once per long rest for free. Additionally, the text for lunar sorcerer doesn't specifically state that you have to cast it at 1st-level, so (as long as your DM isn't being argumentative about it) you can also upcast this spell for free once per long rest.
However, you also know all spells from all moon phases that are appropriate for your sorcerer level. So you can cast them all regularly using spell slots regardless of whether or not you are in the moon phase corresponding to those spells. You know them, permanently, no exceptions, full-stop. So they will always be displayed in the spells you can cast. Essentially, this allows lunar sorcerers to learn and know a lot more spells than most other sorcerers, since these spells don't count against the number of spells you can learn.
The new lunar sorcery class has a feature where you get access to different spells depending on the "moon phase" you choose

Agreed!
Work around I am using is to customize the name of the spell and add the phase in that way. Tedious but all i can think of.

My issue was fixed and was more embarrassing. I didn't know you could only share the compendium 5x and was at my limit already
