When searching monsters, magic items etc. it's really annoying to have to enter individual source books in the Source box just to limit the results to only things I've purchased.
Please add "Owned" and "Unowned" as options to the Source boxes in searches, so I that I can quickly restrict searches to only results I already own, or don't yet own. Behind the scenes these should be swapped for the books I own, or don't own, respectively, and of course adding both Owned and Unowned to the search is mutually exclusive (returns everything).
Since I realise D&D Beyond's business model is selling stuff, when doing an "Owned" search feel free to slap on a banner or something that says "You could be seeing more results if you also show unowned content".

Former D&D Beyond Customer of six years: With the axing of piecemeal purchasing, lack of meaningful development, and toxic moderation the site isn't worth paying for anymore. I remain a free user only until my groups are done migrating from DDB, and if necessary D&D, after which I'm done. There are better systems owned by better companies out there.
I have unsubscribed from all topics and will not reply to messages. My homebrew is now 100% unsupported.
I don't see this ever happening. It's essentially a sales-pitch, after all.
The problem is that this is just as annoying for paying customers as for users who only have free content; very, very few people are going to unlock every single book, and making the search functions annoying for everyone isn't going to encourage more sales.
I mentioned they could still include a banner when doing a search for Owned, something to the effect of "There are (N) more matches in books you don't yet own" or similar.

I'm more likely to buy just a few books in physical form, and stop using the website, than continually wade through a thousand inaccessible monsters to find ones I can use. I'm happy to buy stuff, but there needs to be both a Library with an Owned filter like the mobile app has, and an Owned filter on the encounter builder or item lists etc.
Do the web devs ever read these requests? Like even in the marketplace its getting confusing.
Probably not judging by the latest marketplace update, as instead of adding things people wanted, they've axed one of the best marketplace features of the site (the ability to purchase sub-classes, feats etc. piecemeal) so made unlocking content vastly more expensive for many users. 😒

Years later, still not done. sigh
Move to top. I agree and hope this may be added as well.
