Removing the ability to purchase bits and pieces from the shop is the worst possible move imaginable. I happily spend $8 or $10 to build a fun class or get a specific item. But now some classes I want to build would cost $90 to get all the books. They are losing so much money because of this choice. They need to roll this change back or they will continue to lose money as people search for alternate sources.
Agreed!!!! Corporate greed fully on show...I know this has become microtransactions.com but every decision they've made has been entirely against their users. It's like they want even their most loyal subscribers to me shunned away... Horrendous downfall that continuously has pushed people away and this last step has made me consider moving fully on paper again!
They're just running themselves into the ground and ruining simplistic DND for plenty of people. I want to play a Tortle for one of my new campaigns. Normally, the class for tortle would be $2 maybe $3. Now if I want to play a tortle, I have to spend $10 on the "Tortle package" that gives me 5 monsters that I AM NEVER GOING TO USE. It's a waste of money and it's just a kick in the balls to people that have been using this site for years to play dnd and now we have to find other websites to use because dnd beyond is too greedy to let us keep buying individual things, EVEN THOUGH IT MADE THEM MORE MONEY!

Yeah, the group I interact with uses DnDbeyond less and less. At this point, I may end up forcing myself to learn Gsheets.
