For a couple of weeks I've been trying my best to get the word out about this. Replying to dndbeyond and dnd socials, making folks aware of it.
Long time players of mine and DMs I know, including myself, are shocked at this decision without so much as a message of "why" It's been done.
Now the socials are blocking those talking about it in the replies. I was blocked a week ago by Dndbeyond and Wizardsdnd. They want you to be silent and they don't want others to know either.
They're hoping this will blow over. All we needed was a reason, but the more you stay silent the less we'll be inclined to give you our money. I've already cancelled my ongoing annual master tier sub over this. I've been a sub ever since 2017, but I refuse to give you any more of my cash unless there's an explanation or you revert back this asinine decision.
We just need to continue being vocal about it. At the very least to let others know to not spend money until this is fixed. Seriously, why even do this besides pure greed? It's not even very effective. People who are considered "whales", the ones WotC were probably banking on, are deciding not to spend any money due to this change.

Aye, I'm a curator of 5 full shared games at any 1 time, I have 10s of ongoing campaigns within the website and 100s of characters. I've spent a lot of money on it. I may be among those "Whales" but refuse to spend any more money. They're even locking threads on here now because of it.
Yeah, This bites, it was really the only way I was still buying things as I didn't see the value of the entire book. I went from buying what I needed (PHB, DMG, etc) to buying what I want (the occasional adventure) to buying the pieces I wanted (races/sub-classes/items) to....well nothing left to buy. I'm simply not finding the book compelling. But the pieces...yeah, there were some nice pieces.

Did you learn nothing from the OGL scandal?

One D&D better be one hell of a product.
