In the past there was a way to see all the content in the marketplace that I did not already own. I do not see a way to do that now. It makes it more difficult to have to open up each item to see if I already own it or not. Can we add this feature or show me how to use this if it already exists?
As of right now, there's no way to actually filter the content directly in the marketplace. A lot of people are upset about it from the amount of forum lurking I've done, but it is what it is. However, if you go to the "Sources" tab, and hit "View All", DnD Beyond has at least made it a bit easier to view what all you have there.
In nice blue text it has what's in your library on the little icons, and what doesn't have it, won't have that text. You still have to go back into the marketplace to go buy the book you want, but at least there's that work around. Shouldn't have to be, but eh. Hopefully this helps!
Personally, I wouldn't want it too. If they are committed to the whole "you must buy the full book" thing, I wouldn't want it marked as in the library when it's not fully in the library because that would lead me to not buy the rest of the book, and lead to missing content I thought I had. Sucks that there isn't another option such as "Partial" but considering that they weren't able to work in the discounts into the marketplace to begin with, I highly doubt they're going to give us that as an option.

The "sources" trick doesn't fully work -- it doesn't display partially owned content as "in library".

I don't think it's too much to ask to have partials labelled exactly as such, especially because it's not properly indicated in the marketplace.
