Discovered this today. If I have a 2014 source book open and click on a link (for example a weapon), I wind up in the 2024 rules. Since we were promised that we'd be able to access the 2014 rule books we paid for, I think the links should lead to 2014 material, or the links should be disabled.
This is incredibly annoying. Reading a 2014 (5th edition) adventure or source book and a reference link to a rule or spell or feat sends you straight to the 2024 free rules. Come on WOTC.
"We’re dedicated to making D&D Beyond the ultimate digital toolset for Dungeons & Dragons, continuously enhancing the platform to ensure you can create, customize, and play your game just as you envision it." A quote directly from you.
The update that came along with the 2024 rules hugely contradicts your statement. Embarrassing.
This is incredibly frustrating. It's difficult to describe the confusion and disruption it's causing at the table. Please, please make the 2014 rules THAT MADE D&D THE PHENOMENA IT IS TODAY a first class citizen on DNDBeyond.
Man, I am learning a hard lesson getting burned by WotC and Hasbro.
Hey guys sorry to bring this back up months later, but I am now having the opposite problem (Trying to run CoS and bought the 2024 Core Rules assuming the links would work, they don't) did you guys ever find a solutions I can try?

Yeah, there are topic about this for weeks now and there is no change or hope...
They forcing new eddition in everywhere when they can and pushing out originall 5e in way it makes app unusable...
Im affraid that only solution is to start using different app or transit to some other, more stable system
