I thought I was going mad, I was *sure* the creature that has a goat's head, lion's head, and dragon's head was called a Chimera. I used the search and filtered for Monsters, but only 3 results, and not what I was looking for. So I scoured through the monsters listing (assuming Chimera was just wrong so I didn't use that search) trying to figure out what else it could be called until I stumbled upon.. the Chimera.
Why is this omitted from the main site search? Especially as it's not even tagged as Legacy content?
Search is just really buggy lately. Like half the site.
I'll note that I got Theran Chimera, Mechachimera, and Tile Chimera as monster results and Chimera as a compendium result for the Monster Manual, but no Chimera monster page result.

But the actual DDB Monster page for that monster ( https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters/16823-chimera ) does not show up in the general search, though it does show up if you go to Game Rules -> Monsters and search for Chimera there.
I dont have 24e content and didnt download 24e basic rules so listing and search functions shows chimera(s) fine
I would say search function did behave odd even before they start to force 24e everywhere, but i would say its absolutly possible they will limit even search of 5E also

Search function started breaking when they separated third-party content and stopped it from showing up in there. So well before 5e24, absolutely.

As was mentioned, yeah, compendium is a bit different. That's showing it within the context of a book, not calling the monster page. It used to be that both would show up in the search. And if you filter your search to monsters, it disappears entirely.

The Chimera compendium result is the monster page.
Not exactly. The compendium result goes to the "C" section of the Monster Manual, which describes the monster: https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/dnd/mm-2014/monsters-c#Chimera
