So I am a DM Tier Sub, pre-ordered the Monster Manual (well all three, PHB, DMG) for the 2024 editions.
And it says how it's early access today (Feb 4th) - when, already several hobby stores around me are selling the Monster Manual 2024 edition. (One of my players, who also now has begun running their own games, picked up their copy today from one of the hobby stores).
So it's not really early access, since it seems the physical copy itself is available at local gaming shops on the same day.
It'd be amazing, if those who pre-ordered, actually got early access - like why wasn't access given a week ago? Instead of today, the same day that the physical copy is available for pick up at local stores?
Just something I chewed on while I was looking through the MM2024.

The digital version and the physical version are separate products with different release dates. Having a master-tier subscription provides access to the digital version two weeks before its release date (when non-subscribers get access).
Pre-ordering isn't what provides early access to the digital version. Having a master-tier subscription does.
