The majority of DMs I know use encounters beta because we play in person so there is no need for the digital map. I switched to using the DnD beyond encounters combat tracker from other usefull digital tools because of the integration. If Beyond is planning on discontinuing support for encounters for the sake of pushing maps, many subsribers will go back to other combat tracking tools. it has been years in beta, and we still don't even have condition tags (something other trackers had over a decade ago) no good reason why we cant update it to 2024 rules either.
Yeah man I feel the same way. Unsure why they haven't updated the Website. They are the resources. At the very least, remove it from the Web and make the App have features like these. Makes running alot easier.
This, a hundred times this! Please just update the Encounter builder!
Due to the neglected Encounter builder I have been suffering from a certain bug for years - I have so many ancient and unused encounters that I simply cannot delete no matter how many times I try. It is super annoying and it doesn't help that where Maps is good at some things it really lags some things that are easily done with Encounters. Some people simply benefit more from Encounters while some prefer Maps. It is an utopian dream to be able to create one platform that somehow meets everyone's different needs... so why not take care of the two you have now? Keep up your quite amazing work with Maps BUT also maintain the other option for those whose needs simply are not met with it.
There is no way D&D Beyond would NOT benefit from having both - a working Encounters and Maps.

I've been using the tracker for four years and seen no changes - I have some encounters that old that I'm unable to delete. It's time an update the people actually want.

Amen to this. Update the Encounter Builder already. If you make us decide between Maps and the Encounter Builder, we will go elsewhere.
