My character received a boon that gave me access to a cantrip due to story elements in my campaign. I cannot add it to my spell list because DnD Beyond won't let me add additional spells beyond the class limit. This was never an issue when I first joined. You could add as many spells as you wanted. How do I fix this problem so my spell list accurately reflects what it should be?
To the best of my knowledge, it's never been possible. (Except for wizards, who have no limits on the spells they can add to their book.)
But if it was, it was presumably considered a bug. If it were possible, GMs would have to ride herd on their players, particularly inexperienced ones, in order to make sure they didn't add spells beyond what they were allowed.

Homebrew a feat or an item that grants you the spell.
(If it were a leveled spell that you could cast with slots, that's a bit more complicated -- only subclass and species can grant those.)
Why would they take away the ability to add spells to our spell slots? Makes no sense.
